DOMINA Hotel: an example of transition from stand-alone to on-line version

In parallel to an expansion of the rooms, the Torre Argentina Relais of Rome, which had already chosen to rely on the AVE DOMINA Hotel hotel automation system in stand-alone version, wanted to extend the range of manageable functions to offer maximum comfort to its customers. We have therefore switched to on-line management.

Thanks to DOMINA Hotel’s scalability, it was possible to easily switch from one system to another. An external reader has been prepared for each room, which allows the door to be opened and the room number to be signalled, as well as the relative status (occupied, free or “do not to disturb), an internal reader for enabling room functions with a welcome scenario, a control unit for central and remote supervision.

Now the hotelier can know the rooms’ status (avoiding that the staff check the possibility of tidying up the room with guests’ presence) and prepare an optimal room’s temperature before guests’ arrival. Furthermore, it’s now possible to supervise the general occupancy status of the structure locally and/or remotely, thus improving the room occupancy planning for each floor.

The activation of loads and room services are enabled only in the presence of an authorized card, that must be placed in the internal reader; in this way the structure can benefit from greater energy savings and an additional degree of safety, preventing any short circuits when the room is unoccupied.

In addition to technology, aesthetics is also essential for a modern luxury hotel. Thus Torre Argentina Relais has chosen to rely on innovative AVE solutions with touch technology to give an exclusive feel to its environments. An example is the sophisticated Vip System Touch, the first device with touch front plate and transponder reader that automatically coordinates the rooms’ access functions and their occupational status. Torre Argentina Relais has opted for the version with an anodized and brushed aluminium plate, a fine aesthetic variant that perfectly matches the rest of the electrical system, where the light points are enhanced by the very elegant Allumia Touch switches.
